Kateřina Olivová is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Brno University of Technology, Studio of Body Design. Her work deals with the themes of femininity, feminism, physicality, sexuality, motherhood, relationships and emotions. Through her performance art, which often balances on the verge of kitsch and deliberate embarrassment, she opens questions of social taboos. The primary medium of her work is the body involved in performances, which are full of bright rainbow-like colours, glitter, joy in one’s own existence and nudity. She is the founder of a support group for (not only) artist-mothers, Mothers Artlovers.
