On the occasion of the Mystique of Hygiene exhibition, a selection from the Liberec Regional Gallery collections will be presented in the Cabinet of Graphic Arts, focusing on the themes connected with the tradition of public baths that appear in the classical, mostly 19th century prints. These are works depicting the interiors of Turkish baths and also the classical colonnades in the spa towns of Karlovy Vary, Mariánské Lázně and other important spa towns in Europe. The aim of this presentation is to show a classic, stereotyped view of the atmosphere of spas and bathhouses in previous decades. Work with the collection fonds is an important part of the statutory activities of the Liberec Regional Gallery.
