French Painting of the 19th Century from the Liberec Regional Art Gallery
Collection is a single-volume catalogue published in 2002 in two parts. In the
first part the reader can learn about the history of landscaping and the
Barbizon School, or the collector Heinrich Liebeg. The second volume covers the
collection itself. Each featured artist is introduced with a profile and
individual paintings are reproduced in colour and supplemented with
nomenclative and acquisition details. The preparation of this catalogue is
thanks to the services of European experts John Sillevis - Head Curator of
Collections at the Gemeentemusea in The Hague, Genevieve Lacambre - General
Curator of Collections at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris, Marie-Thérese
Caille - Curator of the Town Museum of the Barbizone School and Marketa
Theinhardt - lecturer at the Sorbonne.
The catalogue contains 120 pages. It is published in Czech-French
edition. The price is 200 Czech crowns.
